Individual Grants

PANDORA can provide two types of individual grant principally for young researchers who wish to enrich their careers with experiences in other countries and/or present at prominent conferences. The two types of grant are:

  1. Short Term Scientific Missions (STSMs)
Short-term scientific missions (STSM) are exchange visits between researchers from COST Members states, allowing scientists to visit and learn from an institution or laboratory in one of these countries. Participants should organise their own mission and the STSM grant will contribute to living costs while abroad. General information can be found here. However, please note that STSMs in PANDORA will be slightly different and a call for applications will be made in the very near future. Please wait for the call before applying. Please subscribe to our mailing list for further information and to receive the call.
  2. ITC Conference Grants
This grant can be awarded to YRIs (Young Researchers and Innovators – below 40 years of age) from ITC* who wish to present their work at a prominent conference. The grant will pay for conference registration fees and travel accommodation costs. General information can be found here. However, please note that ITC Conference Grants in PANDORA will be slightly different and a call for applications will be made in the very near future. Please wait for the call before applying. Please subscribe to our mailing list for further information and to receive the call.

*Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC): Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, and the Republic of North Macedonia.
