How to join Stratagem

It is possible for you to join STRATAGEM even though it is already underway and we welcome new applications. If you would like to participate in our action, there are a number of ways to do so:

As a Management Committee (MC) member

The MC is responsible for the coordination, implementation and management of STRATAGEM. Up to two representatives per COST Member country can be nominated to the MC. It is therefore a good idea for you to check whether your country already has two MC members on our participating countries page.  If there are already two MC members for your country you may still participate as an MC substitute who can attend MC meetings if an MC member is unavailable.  To participate as an MC, please contact STRATAGEM chair Prof. Roberta Fruttero (roberta.fruttero@unito.it) and the leader of the Working Group (WG) that you would like to join (see Working Groups pages for details) who will provide details of how to do so. You will also need to contact the COST National Coordinator (CNC) for your country.

In order to be accepted as a member of STRATAGEM and a working group you will need to provide a scientific CV to show that your work is pertinent to that of the action and the WG of interest.

As a working group member

The working groups perform the scientific tasks that fulfill our stated objectives, as described in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and developed upon at our WG meetings. An overview of the activities of the four WGs can be found on the Working Groups pages. To participate as a working group member, please contact the working group leader (again, see Working Groups pages for details) who will provide details of how to do so.

As a participant in STRATAGEM activities

A number of activities will be held over the course of the STRATAGEM action. These include training schools, short-term scientific missions, workshops, conferences, etc. Details of these opportunities will be available here on activities page and communicated to all members by email. Although most activities are only available to STRATAGEM members, student activities, especially STSMs, are available to those whose scientific coordinator is a member.
