Pandora’s Second Training School on Rational Drug Discovery will take place in Lisbon

PANDORA's 2nd Training School to be held in Lisbon, Portugal July 2023

We are happy to officially announce our Second In Person Training School: Rational drug discovery based on computational modelling, high-throughput virtual screening, image-based screening technologies, lead optimisation, structure-activity relationships (SAR) analysis, which will take place from the 10th to 12st July 2023, in Lisbon, Portugal (Programme in attachment).

The Event will be held at CBIOS – Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias – Via Campo Grande, 376 – Lisbon – Portugal.

The main aim of the training school is to provide YR&Is with a general background on rational drug discovery based on computational modelling, high-throughput virtual screening, image-based screening technologies, lead optimisation, structure-activity relationships (SAR) analysis, which might be relevant at the beginning of a research project.

The training school will combine oral lectures by experts in the field with practical application of the program that will focus on the rational drug discovery based on computational modelling, high-throughput virtual screening, image-based screening technologies, lead optimisation, structure-activity relationships (SAR) analysis. The daily program will combine oral lectures by experts in the field with practical applications on topics and tools described and discussed in the oral lectures. Trainees can also share their current research problems with the trainers and the audience of the training school to discuss on possible solutions.

This Training School is intended for PhD Students and Post-docs working in any field that can be considered linked to Multi-Drug Resistance in tumours. However, anyone can apply as long as they are involved in research at some level in the related fields.

PANDORA can provide reimbursement for attending its conferences and events. Reimbursement for this event  will be applied in accordance with COST Association guidelines, which provide for the reimbursement of long-distance travel AND a Daily Allowance (DA) to cover accommodation, meals and short-distance travel.
