STRATAGEM’s 4th Annual Conference in Prague, Czechia, September 6th-9th 2021
STRATAGEM’s 4th Annual Conference “New diagnostic and therapeutic tools against multidrug resistant tumours” is organized by local organizers Jitka Viktorova (prokesoj@vscht.cz) and Denisa Kučerova (kuceroad@vscht.cz) from the patronage organization Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology, UCT Prague. The Event is attended by STRATAGEM members and affiliated scientists, among whom many ECIs who will present their scientific work. The venue of the event will be Vienna House Diplomat Prague with the possibility for online participation.
Javier De Las Rivas, Co-chair of the Action, University of Salamanca, Spain and Ondrej Uhlik, Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology, UCT Prague, will open the event on 6th September 2021, 8:50 AM CET.
Among the presenters there will be the outstanding invited speakers, experienced in the field of New diagnostic and therapeutic tools against multidrug resistant tumours: Asan Agibetov (Austria), expert in “Virtual screening of large chemical databases with AI”, Jaroslav Truksa (Czech Republic), who will speak on “Repurposing an iron chelator: mitochondrially-targeted deferoxamine exhibits potent, cytostatic, cytotoxic and migrastatic anti-cancer properties and induces mitophagy”, Radek Pudil (Czech Republic), highly experienced in “Cardio-oncology: cardiovascular effects of the antitumor treatment, diagnosis and management”, Zdenek Hostomský (Czech Republic) who will discuss “PARP inhibition: from idea to registration – A personal perspective” and Jiri Neuzil (Czech Republic), who will present “Horizontal transfer of mitochondria and mitochondrial respiration”.
Networking events will take place, including a STRATAGEM Core Group Meeting at the end of the first day and a STRATAGEM Management Committee Meeting at the end of the Conference.
There will be a Social Program, including a steamboat cruise on the Vltava (Czech national river) through the historical part of Prague with an explanation in English. Free entertainment accompanied by music, dinner in the form of buffet tables, a Gala dinner, which will take place on 8th September 2021, 19-22 p.m.
